Do you want to set up the same Alerts for several users? Do you need to send Alerts to users or employees who are set in a field of a particular record, e.g. contact person on a sales order or purchase order? The alert e-mail has been extended as well. It can contain any field values from the alert record.
Features
* Send Alerts not to just one, but many users at the same time with only one Alert rule. * Alerts can be sent to AX-users, user groups, employees, and any e-mail recipient. * Recipients can be set up on the Alert rule, or recipients can be extracted from an Alert or linked record field. * Additional variables (placeholders) in the alert e-mail template can be populated with values from the Alert or a linked record. * A separate e-mail template can be set up for each Alert rule. * Only users with sufficient access rights can set up Advanced Alerts.
Examples of use
* Send Alerts to the sales responsible, the customer's contact person, any AX user, and additional e-mail recipients when the sales order ship date changes (see illustration on the right). Only one Alert rule is required! * The purchase order responsible (orderer) can be notified automatically if the goods are not received on time. One Alert rule is sufficient for all orderers; amendment of the rule is not necessary when the purchasing department hires additional staff. * Add the contact person name to e-mails sent to customers. The contact person name is automatically extracted from the sales order (see illustration on the right).

Have you ever sent reports as e-mail attachments directly from Dynamics AX (formerly Axapta) and would have liked to have a more user-friendly layout? Do you also think that the Outlook dialogue requiring you to confirm that the report e-mail is sent is unnecessary? Would you like your reports such as purchase orders and sales confirmations to be sent automatically?
Features
* The e-mail text can be defined by using e-mail templates. Thus you can create your own HTML e-mails with your individual content. * For each report, there can be one template. * E-mails are sent by either MAPI, extended MAPI (Outlook), CDO (SMTP) or .Net 2.0 mail (SMTP). With the SMTP option, the e-mails are sent directly through the mail server. In this case, Outlook does not have to be installed and the Outlook security dialogue will no longer be shown. * If Lotus Notes is your e-mail client, e-mails can be sent through the Lotus Domino Server using one of the SMTP options. * In the accounts payable and accounts receivable module, documents can rapidly and easily be sent to contact persons by e-mail without your having to modify the printer settings (see illustration). * Lookup e-mail addresses in the print dialog, thus no manual search of e-mail recipients is required.
Examples of use
* Send sales confirmations to the e-mail address saved in the sales order or to the client's contact person rapidly and by simply ticking the corresponding box in the posting form. * Design HTML e-mail templates for purchase orders, sales confirmations, invoices etc. in different languages. The language is chosen automatically according to the language of the report. * Avoid the Outlook security dialogue by sending your e-mails by SMTP.
